“It kills me,” he began. “Let me get this shit up off of my chest. It kills me how mothafuckers be talking all that, ‘Man the streets are so fucked up. Why these young dudes out here shooting each other? Why these girls out running around reckless. All this crazy shit.’ They’ll be the same mothafuckers that’ll go on the radio station and play your mothafuckin’ song.”

He went on to say that fans can be hypocritical too.

“Mothafuckers sit around in their car like, ‘Ah, man. Shit is fucked up.’ Yeah, and then they turn up the same shit that a mothafucker doing in the streets with no problem riding around to it. That shit just irks me,” he continued. “We do it ourselves in the smallest ways, in the smallest hypocritical ways.”

J. Cole’s Collaborative Album With Kendrick Lamar “Still Happening”

J. Cole says a project with Kendrick Lamar is still in the works, talks “Born Sinner” worries.

For quite some time, talk of a collaborative album between rappers J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar has run rampant, but as of late there hasn’t been much chatter about a possible project from the duo. While appearing on Hartford, Connecticut’s HOT 93.7 earlier today (February 28th), J. Cole assured fans that the album with Kendrick is in fact “still happening.”

The Carolina rapper also spoke on his relationship with Kendrick and revealed that working with the TDE emcee is a lot like working with a cousin.

“Yeah, that’s still happening,” Cole revealed in a video posted on RapRadar.com. “We got in a few times. Last time we got in was months ago though, but we will. We’ll finish that. It’s incredible. It’s like working with my little cousin man. It’s dope…There’s not a lot of fronting involved with either of us. I feel like that’s the new wave.”

Prior to speaking on his collaborative project with Kendrick, J. Cole briefly touched on his upcoming album Born Sinner and any worries he has for his sophomore effort.

“Commercially, I just hope it’s successful again. I hope it’s even more successful. I hope it crushes it in terms of sales and critical acclaim. So I just want those two things to happen…If it blows up like I want it to then that’ll determine how big the tour is,” Cole explained. “Of course we’re gonna go everywhere, but I wanna do certain things at the shows that require a certain budget.”

Kanye West Rants About Brands

Kanye West hits the stage with another rant, this time saying “name brands” are “fightin’ for your souls.”

In his latest rant, Kanye West has targeted brands. The Louis Vuitton Don’s latest comes from a concert in Amsterdam where West discussed his views on how name brands affect people.

“Do y’all notice anything different to the left and the right, by the bar?” West asked, pacing around the stage and pointing towards Heineken advertising at Heineken Music Hall. He continued by saying, “Name brands always fightin’ for your soul.”

He began half-singing and half-rapping as he paced around.

“I felt like I wanted something better,” he said while bobbing his body back and forth on stage. “A lot of people buy brands because of the pressure, because without the brands it’s like they feel lesser.”

This is not the first time West has done something of this nature this year. West also had rants about other topics and even ended a recent show by screaming into the microphone several times and throwing it down on stage. Video of his recent rant about brands can be found below, courtesy ofYVR1S.

French Montana Attacked In Drive-By Shooting, One Person Dead

After an attempt on Rick Ross’ life, French Montana becomes the target of a drive-by shooting.

French Montana was the target of a drive-by shooting last night following a performance at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Theater of the Living Arts.

According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, the Coke Boys

After an attempt on Rick Ross’ life, French  leader was engaging with fans outside of his tour bus outside of the Holiday Inn on Penn’s Lnading when someone driving by open fired.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the stomach and rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Another victim was shot in the shoulder and is currently in stable condition.

Police are currently questioning 25 people including Montana about the incident. Three were taken into custody for carrying guns, as investigators say that someone inside the bus fired back after the initial shot. There are currently no suspects in the shooting.

“It’s just ignorant. You fire into a crowd and you’re gonna hit somebody. In this case, unfortunately, someone was killed. Don’t know if they had anything to do with anything, if they were a fan or what,” said Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey. “When you find people like that, they should just never see the light of day again. I mean that kind of behavior’s just unacceptable. For me, there’s just no rehabilitation for anything like that,” Ramsey said.

This isn’t the first drive-by shooting to occur in recent months. In January, Rick Ross was targeted in Florida, crashing his Rolls Royce into a building after gunmen shot at his vehicle.
