Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Benzino has been shot, TMZ reports. The reality star and former owner of The Source magazine was gunned down while headed to his mother’s funeral. He is currently in the hospital and his condition is unknown.

Benzino was reportedly driving in the funeral procession for his late mother when an argument among family members led to shots being fired. Sources in law enforcement say an arrest has already been made. Remarkably, despite the former rapper and magazine publisher being rushed to the hospital, the funeral continued as planned. According to the preacher, both the hearse and the limo were stained with blood when they arrived at the plot.

Benzino, born Raymond Scott, was co-publisher of The Source since its inception as a single-sheet newsletter in 1988, and was also a founding member of the rap group Made Men.

The injured party was taken to the hospital while Short allegedly left the bar quickly — and now law enforcement officials are apparently investigating the incident as criminal battery.

According to TMZ, the ABC’s star’s short fuse this month was not the first time he has publicly disputed with someone.

Back in March 2010, he reportedly used his fist power to punch a guy during a game of basketball at L.A. Fitness and knocked his teeth out.

If you thought that little Drake/“Rolling Stone” debacle was over, think again.

Indeed, a month after the Torontoian hitmaker shared with the magazine his thoughts on Jay Z‘s “corny” bars, the “Excuse Me Miss” rapper drops a response via his verse on Jay Electronica‘s new tune ‘We Made It’.

See Drake’s full quote here, then hear Jay’s rebuttal below:

“It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references.  I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole Rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”  – Drake, via Rolling Stone

Rojas’ wife of 13 years, Maria, fell to her knees sobbing in the living room of the family’s small second-floor Brownsville apartment when she found out her husband was dead, family members said.

Angel Rojas was killed while riding a B15 bus in Brooklyn after a teenager started firing off rounds toward a rival, police sources say.

The victim’s 12-year-old son, Saury, and 8-year-old daughter, April, also crumbled at their mother’s side. The young boy tried to make sense of the senseless.

“I’m 12, he’s 14. He was too small to be around a gun like that,” Saury said. “My dad would still be alive right now . . .”

Rojas uprooted his family from their native Dominican Republic and came to America four years ago in search of a better life that didn’t come easy.

“This is the ghetto. You hang out with the wrong crowd and things happen,” the Brooklyn resident said. “This is his first real contact with the police.”

The tragedy on the B15 comes almost three weeks after another shooting involving a Brooklyn bus. Police say rookie cop James Li, 26, was blasted three times in the legs in February by a fare beater who turned out to be wanted on a drug charge.

Rashun Robinson, 28, was leaving through the back door of the B46 bus on Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights at about 5 p.m. when he was caught by Li.

The ex-con and reputed Bloods member was determined to dodge jail time at any cost and opened fire while running from the bus, police said.

Mom says she was target, too in NJ tot creek death

By WAYNE PARRY
Associated Press

FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) – The mother of a 2-year-old girl whose body was found in a New Jersey creek, still strapped into her car seat, says she fears the girl’s father would have killed all three of them had she gone along too.

Imani Benton testified Thursday in the trial of Arthur Morgan III. A jailhouse letter Morgan sent her after his arrest said he wished she had gone with him and 2-year-old Tierra Morgan-Glover to the movies the day their daughter died.

The letter says the plan that November 2011 day was “to go as a family.” Benton testified she believes that meant Morgan would have killed her, the girl, and himself.

Tierra was found submerged in a park creek. Morgan’s lawyer indicated his client would not deny responsibility for the girl’s death.

Chris Brown booted out of rehab, taken into custody by LA sheriff’s deputies

Singer Chris Brown has managed to intrigue -- and infuriate -- the public since he first burst onto the scene in 2005. Here's a look at his life and career.

Los Angeles (CNN) — Singer Chris Brown has been booted from court-ordered drug rehab and taken into custody by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies, a sheriff’s spokesman confirmed Friday.

Details were not immediately available about why Brown, 24, was kicked out of the Malibu facility where he has been treated for the past four months.

Nor was it clear exactly why he was taken into immediate custody, but he had been serving a five-year probation sentence when he entered rehab. That sentence stemmed from a 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

He was “cooperative when taken into custody” as he was picked up from the facility and taken to the Los Angeles County men’s central jail where he was being held without bail Friday afternoon, a sheriff’s department statement said.

His lawyer and representatives did not immediately respond to CNN calls for comment.

Brown’s legal troubles began five years ago when he beat Rihanna as the two were in a rented Lamborghini on a Hollywood street. He pleaded guilty to felony assault in June 2009, which resulted in a sentence of five years of probation and 1,400 hours of community labor.

The judge has revoked Brown’s probation twice in the last year, most recently because of his arrest on a sidewalk near the White House after allegedly punching a man.

Brown voluntarily entered a rehab program a day after being released from a Washington jail in October, but he was kicked out a few days later for “throwing a rock through his mother’s car window” after a family session at the center, a probation report said. Brown was upset because his mother said she wanted him to stay in treatment, the report said.

“Mr. Brown preceded to walk outside and pick up a rock and threw it through his mother’s car window and it shattered,” according to letter from the rehab center included in the probation report.

His probation was revoked last November, but the judge allowed him to stay out of jail by entering a 90-day anger management and drug rehab program. Although he completed that program last month, the judge ordered him to remain a resident at the Malibu treatment facility until another hearing on April 23.

Brown’s probation officer reported at a hearing last month that the singer “continues to make great improvement” in dealing with anger, stress and drugs, but the judge decided he could not go free until after his trial for an assault charge in Washington on April 17. If he is convicted in that case, the judge would decide at an April 23 hearing if Brown should complete his probation in jail.

Brown has been working on a highway cleanup labor crew in Los Angeles three days a week to fulfill the 750 hours of service remaining in his probation requirements, his probation report said. At that rate, Brown could complete the labor in mid-October and possibly be free from probation requirements by the end of the yea
