Almost exactly five months ago, Meek Mill was playing a homecoming show in his native Philadelphia. Toward the end of the set at the Wells Fargo Center, Meek brought out a very special Philly native. “They done and sent my n***a to prison,” he said of the one-time Roc-A-Fella star Beanie Sigel. “They done shot my n***a. But he’s still back holding it down for Philly.” Now, a #1 album, high-profile relationship and beef with one of rap’s biggest stars later, it seems as if their relationship has changed. This afternoon (Aug. 20), Beans took to Instagram to give his thoughts on that feud with Drake; at times, he’s animated, at others meandering and convoluted. More than anything, the veteran MC doesn’t want anyone involved to “sacrifice something or someone over this gay shit.”

As he points out, “Somebody mite die over this stupid shit.. it won’t be [AR-Ab], Meek, or Drake.. it’s going to be one of the entourage … Somebody going to move out to prove they loyalty to something that’s not loyal to them “stupidity ” somebody dies somebody in jail for life over what. You’ll be lucky if a n—a get you a lawyer send you some flicks & commissary money for a couple months.” On top of the accusations that kicked off the controversy, Beans isn’t too concerned whether Quentin Miller or anybody else has a pen in Drake’s studio. “I’m going to still bang Drake shit just like everybody else,” Beans writes, “because nobody cares point blank.”
